Top Recommended Podcasts from All of YOU!

by India

There’s a million and one podcasts out there and while I like the ones I listen to, it’s nice to switch it up sometimes and listen to something new recommended by people who are interested in the same stuff as you. I asked for recommendations for different types of podcasts on my insta story and here are the top recommendations I got for each category!

Uplifting / Interviews:

This is by far my own favorite podcast, I get so much out of every episode and learn so much. Oprah has conversations with brilliant leaders in their industries, it is really awakening and I have loved every interview.
One of the most popular podcasts out there, Joe Rogan has conversations with famous guests. I’ve only heard great things about this podcast.
Rise Together
This one was recommended a lot, it’s a married couple exploring partnerships, marriage, parenting, and all the hard stuff that comes in between.
Explores the messiness of being human, vulnerability, honesty, and struggles and shortcomings to be incredibly sexy. They celebrate setbacks and ultimately leads to growth and betterment.

This podcast takes on fads, trends, and the opinionated mob to find out what’s fact, what’s not, and what’s somewhere in between. A ton of people recommended this one!

Another favorite podcast of my own. Ran by OUR Rescue, it teaches and explores the world of human trafficking, specifically child-sex trafficking. It’s a really sensitive and uncomfortable subject, but they shed light on the situation in a gentle way to help you learn about the realities of these nightmares playing out in the world around us. One million percent would recommend, but I would not recommend listening to some of the episodes in front of children.

Radiolab investigates the strange weird stuff going on in our world. It’s won a ton of awards and helps people understand the science behind things.

This one has crazy good reviews and is apparently really funny/interesting/educational. It basically explores modern life and how to survive it.

Scary / True Crime:

If you’re super into true crime series like everyone else (myself included) these were the top recommended podcasts! I have always really liked My Favorite Murder but if you don’t like hearing the F word then I’d recommend not listening to it haha. Anytime I feel tired driving it’s the first thing I turn on.

My Favorite Murder

Crime Junkie

If you like weird stories and tried listening to Lore but hated it like I did (really think that podcast is overrated and the host is awwwwful) then you’d like Spooked. The host in this show also really sucks (ugh) but he hardly talks, it basically is people telling their own stories about spooky / weird experiences that actually happened to them. It’s freaking bone chilling and makes you feel like you’re sitting around a campfire listening to creepy stories. Another one I’ll turn on if I’m feeling tired driving!

This podcast goes into the stories behind some of the world’s best known companies. You learn about innovators, entrepreneurs, and idealists and the movements they built.

Photo related:

To be quite honest, I’ve tried listening to some of these recommendations I got for photography related podcasts and I haven’t liked any of them consistently. Hopefully one of these that I haven’t gotten around to checking out will be better! Maybe someone needs to come out with a really good one, but for now here are the recommendations I got that other people really enjoy!
